Cooking, for some, is a fun activity and sometimes a passion for others. Unfortunately, not for everyone. Some people hate cooking and see this activity as a real nightmare. It is therefore interesting for these people to know that they can make their experience in the kitchen more enjoyable with a few tips and tricks. These can greatly simplify their culinary tasks. Here are 13 kitchen tips to know.

1. Remove cucumber seeds

To quickly remove the seeds from your vegetables, use a melon spoon. Its rounded edge is very practical.

2.  Remove the excess oil

If a dish that you have cooked is too greasy, use the ice cubes and paper towel trick. Wrap the ice in the paper towel and pat it directly on the food. Ice will attract the excess grease and will attach itself to the paper towel.

3. Mastering plastic wrap

To avoid tearing your plastic roll wrap, put it in the refrigerator like professional cooks do. When the roller is cold, the plastic won’t stick to itself.

4. Peel an orange

If you have some difficulty peeling your oranges or lemons, put your fruit in the microwave for 20 seconds.

5. Remove eggshells

Put baking soda or vinegar in a container with water and then add your cooked eggs. You will have no more problem removing their shell.

6. Get more juice from your citrus fruit

To remove more juice from your citrus fruit, put it in the refrigerator. Then put it in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds.

7.  How to grate your cheese without making a mess

Put your cheese in the freezer for 30 minutes before you grate it.

8. Cut onions without shedding a tear

Opt again for the freezer. Place the onions in the freezer 30 minutes before slicing them. Do not do this trick, however, if you do not plan on cooking your onions right away.

9. Preventing boiling water from overflowing

To prevent water from overflowing when making pasta, simply place a wooden spoon on your pot.

10. How to roast a chicken

To completely roast a chicken, open it and place it in a roasting pan in the oven on its breasts.

11. Make your own paper muffin liners for your baked goods

If you no longer have paper liners for your muffins, use parchment paper. Cut out squares and place them in the muffin moulds before adding your dough.

12. How to heat your pizza in the microwave

If you heat pizza or a container of sauce in a microwave, place a bowl filled with water next to it. The humidity will preserve the crispness of the pizza.

13. Cook perfect eggs

Break the eggs into your pan but instead of adding oil, add water!
